Founded 2/2021 in Tucson, AZ - our vision is based on UN Sustainable Development Goal 11 to make cities and human settlements inclusive, safe, resilient and sustainable.
We envision a fully restored and intentionally modernized urban landscape by 2050: resilient, self-reliant and happy.
Jason Laros, CEM
J has 27 years of experience with sustainability projects for customers ranging from home owners, businesses, communities, universities, utility companies, city, state, tribal and federal organizations. With a heavy focus in upgrading existing buildings for energy and water efficiency, Jason has also spent a lot of time swinging a hammer either as part of a remodeling crew or managing his own income property maintenance business. His global concern for the environment and sustainability is balanced by understanding that solutions must work for the individual and organization to help achieve their goals, or they won't ultimately be successful investments.
Rachelle Hornby is a jack of all trades and master of several, with education in sustainable building design, construction admin, energy and water auditing and REVIT, to name a few. With a passion for sustainability in historic buildings, Rachelle's contributions to the team extend from lending a hand to construction crews (having built houses for a summer with Habitat for Humanity) to conducting research and doing energy audits.
Cisco is quiet but thoughtful, skilled in landscaping, landscape maintenance, running landscaping crews, and he has a growing library of repair and remodeling trades skills. Cisco is a man of action, and is a positive influence on our team every day.
Derek is multitalented, sharp and very fun to work with. He is apprenticing to both the Consultant skill set with Rachelle and Jason and the Handyfolk skill set with Cisco and Jason.
